THe Buddhas were already there since the Kushan Invasions, A few Muslim Empires tried to destroy them but until 2003 they stood watching over Bamiyan. Was a pilgrimage site for many Buddhists up until the 19th century.

Oh you want me to add like a "wonder"? That's not what this thread or the building concepts are about, its only items that factions can build.
Oh well then sorry, i mean it would look good as a wonder haha. But yeah the Muslims building Buddhas has given me an idea.
Many Muslim rulers were quite tolerant in this age towards other religions at the time allowing many churches and temples to be erected in their cities.
Perhaps there could be a building chain to represent this such as "Other religious Monuments" It could have three tiers which would reduce religious unrest in a settlement by say 5, 10 and 20 percent.
No, need to be sorry.
Hmm, that's interesting. Given the possibility of making religion levels a requirement for units and buildings it could be possible to create a line of non-religious mosques and churches that only opposing religions can build to soothe unrest.
This would need to be coupled with increased religious unrest factors, since currently religious unrest isn't a big issue.
Has there been any consideration by the BC team to eventually add something like the millet system of the Ottomans? I'm not sure if or which other Islamic factions practiced this organizational method, though...
Thats too far into the Ottoman era, however, its predecessor the "Dhimmi" system can be explored.
Yeah, I wish the code from BI could be brought back in. I loved the ability to leave the common people to their own religion, even build structures for them. That was boss! Now-- no more for a reason unknown to me.

I built a "Madrassa" in Rayy - Wink Wink.
The limits of this is if you conquer a city with a foreign-faith building in it, the building is automatically destroyed. However, you can still build it even if you are not of the building's faith.

It is still sort of possible.
I just meant the religion of the region.

I think a cool execution-square type building that represents the above for India factions would be interesting.
Anybody have more historical facts about the above practice?
Maybe it could be connected with some type of general "Elephant Trainer" building? Maybe it could be a new line of buildings that is used to train elephant units, and also provides public order bonuses as well. Or rather it could be like the alchemist buildings, and provide an experience bonus to elephant units trained in the settlement (while also providing the public order bonus).

Wait, but aren't you a Muslim faction? Sultan Sanjar seems like an Indian name with an Islamic title, so he's most likely Sindhi and therefore, in BC, Muslim.

Sanjar is the starting Sultan of the Seljuks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmed_Sanjar (bit out of time frame but meh).
Basically the cool thing about what Ahiga discovered is that you can build churches if you are a Muslim faction and vice versa. This will definitely be exploited and manipulated for 2.0.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesoooooooooooooome! I loved this feature! This is very, very employer*.
