i am new and i cant find thread about conquistadores so i ask you when can i build them in the spain campain

i wrely wont to know

Hey there Radmun, I managed to find the info for you from TW Heaven..

Units in Italics can only be recruited in certain regions (eg. The New World) or after a certain event (eg. The discovery of gunpowder).

Late
Infantry:
Swordsmen Militia
Peasants
Sword and Buckler Men
Terico Pikemen
Dismounted Conquistadores

Cavalry:
Gendarmes
General's Bodyguard (Late)
Conquistadores
Knights of Santiago

Apparently, you can only recruit Conquistadores in The New World.

by default you can only get them in america. but by doing a small edit of (i think) export_descr_buildings in data you can get them everywhere

The conquistadores is, by the way, a little imba'ed unit. The reason is: what do you think should be easier to shoot down,
- an unarmoured horse with a rider wearing only a plate harness and a small shield or
- a shining plate coating with a horse and a rider somewhere inside.

... one would think arrows do more damage to cavalry than they do to tanks....

Conquistadore can be only build when you capture Caribbean and in the city you can build conquistadores.

You can only land in the north of the continent. There is a little bay where you can unload your ships. Soon you will meet some men dressed like chickens.

Yes they are in large numbers and they are not cool because
1. They live in South-America, its frigging hot there
2. They don't mean snot against the armies you have by that time.

Monsieur Alphonse pretty much cut it in his last pos and N3rull, they might be imba but its not like if the AI would ever go to america and any weapon is allowed against those drag queens.

That's not true and I hope that was a sarcastic remark.

They might have huge armies but by the time you get to the Americas you should have lots of upgraded units to take out "men-with-no-armour-who-carries-sticks to-poke-your-army".
