Thanks Tzar, maybe if you could let us know which books or websites you'd recommend we look at for reference...?
We've got quite a few already, both from Osprey and various rather ancient Miniature Wargaming magazines etc. but might well be missing some info.
TWC forum has a policy against posting scanned pics from copyrighted publications though, so please don't post them directly here.

I might reccomend looking at the research for the welsh faction (Gwynedd) of M2 wrath of the norsemen. It was my primary faction as a histoian for the wotn team, i can assure you its quite extensive.

WotN's unit threads were originally public but have since been moved to a private forum. I can PM the details to you if you'd like, though the unit roster is for a somewhat earlier period, I don't know exactly how Welsh warfare would have changed from 900 to 1280...
Also I could suggest some stuff about Irish units if you'd like (Not a priority I know but the vanilla Kingdoms roster would seem a little absurd compared to remade British ones, at least without some minor modification)

I appreciate any help you can give. I've never really come across that much describing the Irish and welsh from the 1280's other than some fairly basic info.Originally Posted by Antagonist
I've already put together my basic EDU and EDB based partially on vanilla but with certain faction differentials.

Thanks for the link reference. Don't know how much more remoddeling I'll do at this time but these are examples of the main highland clansman unit I am planning to use (these are the non upgraded versions). They are to represent the higher ranks of Highland society and are castle units. There are also pike and axe versions.

Excellent work!
Those shields are really impressive, and the detail/colours of the tartan
Wow! Brilliant work!
Thank God no kilts!
Excellent work wilddog, your units are unquestionably the best depiction of this culture yet seen in M2.

P.S Any chance of seeing some Welsh units?
