    Default Help with adding new unit to EB

    Hello all i am following a tutorial on how to add units to RTW and can't find the export_descr_unit_enums file i thought it was in the C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\EB\Data folder. 2nd question what spreadsheet do i need to add a unit to a building in the export_descr_buildings.txt ......at the top it says ;Helix 4 build This file is generated from a spreadsheet Please do not modify by hand barracks and core building. all i have left to do is edit the export_descr_unit_enums file and the export_descr_buildings.txt file for those new to this i used the following tutorial: http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=51750
    Any help would be great!!!!!

    The program that generated is just a program, made by LorDBula, for EB recruitment. The program is far from user friendly. You can alter the file by hand, though the EB recruitment is extremely complicated.

    Is that one of the files that isn't actually referenced by the game anymore and no longer needed?

    Open up Notepad in Accessories, list your units from the top of the page as you would for the export_descr_unit_enums file i.e.
    spartan_warriors
    spartan_warriors_descr
    spartan_warriors_descr_short
    Name the file export_descr_unit_enums and drop it into your EB Data file.

    The recruitment of the units for EB has been very carefully done to balance the gameplay, but if you are only adding a few extra units, I would simply make them recruitable under the Civic buildings of their faction or alternatively the Forge buildings rather than the Barracks as its less complicated. Better still confine your new units to being mercenaries which are easier to add to the campaign file and are less prone to errors caused by tinkering about with the script in the export_descr_buildings file.

    MAA is right, you don't need export_descr_unit_enums any more.
