i understand that the FAQ is very outdated, and this may be already have been answered, but magic is mentioned in the FAQ, just more subtle than in the third age, is that already/to be implemented or is there going to be no magic at all?

Hmm the FAQ should be updated, that's true...
Magic is already there in its subtle form... The palantir giving you line-of-sight bonus is an example of extreme subtlety.I hope you don't expect to see a Balrog or a Wizard.

Wizards weren't important during the Fourth Age as they had left ME or became inactive. Radagast wasn't even active when he was supposed to be, so I don't see him becoming an anc any time soon.
