Here is a couple of things I think about for the next generation.
Christian orders in Europe :
That would be great to see different religious orders associated with special buildings or specific settlements :
Fransiscan Monastery (one building per faction at the beginning, undestructible) : gives access to Dominican monks, boosting purity traits, but decrease all character traits associated with money (decrease trade, ect). This order would mainly add difficulty to the game, as something to deal with. A script could give access to a conversion of the Fransiscan Monastery to a Benedictine one around 1200-1300.
Could also trigger a crusade against the settlement they are implented.
Benedictine Monastery : giving access to Benedictine monks, boost political and religious character traits.
Dominican Monastery : giving access to Dominican monks, specialized in fighting heresy.
Late period :
the Jesuit order : Jesuit priests, hugely boost educational character traits. Very good at conversion.
Then all these features could dynamically interact with the pope depending on its own original order (a beneditine pope could favorize a faction rich in benedictine monasteries, ect)
I could try to code a mini mod if enough people support this idea. What do you think ?
