For me, I tend to purchase video games from Electroniques Boutique. However, if the product is out of stock or isn't available in the region, I'd buy it from eBay.
How about you guys?

I prefer to shop at local independent game stores. It usually means they don't get new games in right away, but I've never been someone who needs a game at launch date. Lacking that, I go to Best Buy.
I hate going to Gamestop. They ask me to pre-order something every single time I go in there. They tried to ask us to preorder FF12 an hour before the midnight launch. I know it's corporate policies so I don't hold it against the individuals. Regardless, I don't like the pushy salesmanship.
I like Frys electronics, although a stor called CompUSA recently had a nice closing sale going on. Crysis for $32! I would be excited, but my computer couldn't run Crysis, so I picked up ArmA for $20.
I dream of working at a game store. So any of you do?

Oh yeah definitelyI dream of working at a game store. So any of you do?. I'm hoping to work at EB Games.

Not particularly, I dream of being a game reviewer with a good CD-burning/copying illegal program.
That would be great.

wherever I see the game I'm looking for, I don't hold loyalties to any one retailer.
I would say I have gotten most games from Wal-Mart over the years, just because I live in a small town, and none of those other stores are close to me.

I'm an Amazon man myself - I don't like the concept of bidding on things you want (ala ebay). Amazon usually has good prices on stuff and you can find many good deals. The sellers are also held, pretty much, by the balls by the site so if they screw up they're always extremely happy to make things right.
For instance a seller once forgot to ship out an order and to remedy the situation he actually shipped my order along with a free game of my choice.

For new PC games I'll head over to GAME, and I occasionally buy at Amazon, and get my preowned games from Chipsworld.co.uk (the Chips store in my town closed unfortunately) and Gamestation. Only thing I don't like about Gamestation is when I trade my games in they rip me off like I'm in a sweatshop.
I agree with VOP about Amazon. People screw you over a lot less than eBay and I hate bidding because basically people put bids in until about 4 people bid at the last minute and one of them swipes what people had been watching for days.

For games that i buy myself I usually go to GAME since its the closest to me (on the way home). Other than that, if I ask for the odd game as a present (ie. christmas/birthday) I'd go with Play.com since its generally the cheapest supplier i've found online.![]()

Where ever its cheapest.
To be honest I think the days of going to your local shop and buying the game business model are numbered, direct to drive downloads such as Steam are the way forward.
