In a way, BC almost feels like the haves and the have nots. There are the factions that have a strong economy and an overabundance of money and then the rest just struggle.
There is not too much middle ground here.
To give an example- take the abbassid and ottomons. I have played and finished a campaign as both. One was relatively easy and one was a nightmare. Here is a hint, the one that was a nightmare did not have the cash cow that is baghdad.
And when I finally had taken constantinople and defeated the ERE...what happened? The georgians, crusaders, abbassid and egyptians all declared war. I finally got a shot in the arm economically but could not use that money to fuel my cities b/c the AI as a whole decided to attack me rather than each other.
How many wars around me fought between AI- 0 (thats right, its been peace in the middle east with the exception of myself)
How many wars vs the computer and myself- the ONLY WARS. In my game as the turks, I am the ONLY player with enemies.
I really enjoyed my rajput and abbassid campaign, but my ottomon one really left a bad taste in my mouth.
