Custom battle unit selection

Why is the full range of units not in the custom battle unit selection?

Go back one, to where you pick the location of the battle. Towards the bottom of the screen, in the centre, there'll be an era selection drop down menu. Change it to "all" and everything will be available.

also, when u select 'all' as an era, u can select from every faction, or atleast, the factions in ur campagn, plus the vanilla factions. cant remember exactly.

Yeah thats true, you will be able to pit any kingdoms faction in your game against a vanilla one. i.e. If you really wanna see how the Hungarians would have dealt with the Apache, you can!
