    Default Feedback regarding 5.3

    I would like to hear some detailed feedback regarding 5.3

    1. Are the campaign turns faster in later campaign than in 5.2 ?
    2. Do you like the new interactive events. Are effects enough (delicta ..we want no supergenerals for the player), the price for them ok ?
    3.Do you want some more ...not to many ?
    4. I can make the static events of 5.2 although more interactive.
    5. Are the mongols now more aggressive than in 5.2 ?
    6. anything else...(please here no bug reporting) ?

    1) I got a quad core and 8800gtx 750mb so my turns are fast at it is but i do notice some improvement

    2) The effects are nice and the price is ok but at first they re a money sucker and thats when u need all the money u can get. If u said yes your money ran out too fast and if u said no your generals will suffer great consequence. (Also i notice some of the 2k events actually cost 1k ^^)

    3) Well I don't know how it can work on Deus but this is more of a suggestion, Making 3 choice events , a good , a bad and a neutral choice, all having good and bad consequence and neutral having less effect on both good and bad effects , I do love them so, some more would be fine but only allowing like 1 per turn ^^ it kind of sucks ur money away when u get like 3 to 4 at one turn ^^ plus saying no make ur general angry

    4) I don't know what events u mean

    5) Haven t gotten there yet

    6) Will there be cake ?

    configuration:

    DLV 5.3 + Isel mod pack for 5.3

    files modded by me:

    -edit descr_missions Half missions award
    -edit win conditions all factions must conquer 75 regions
    -edit survival script with this:

    monitor_event FactionTurnStart FactionType byzantium
    and not FactionIsLocal
    and LosingMoney
    and Treasury < 1000

    add_money byzantium 10000

    end_monitor

    -double hp for walls and gates
    -huge size unit mod, cavalry 113, infantry 251 etc...

    Difficulty VH/VH

    Factions played over 100 turns: KOJ,HRE,ENGLAND,IRELAND

    Feedback:

    Pro:
    -Yes turns are faster
    -Yes mongols are more aggressive
    -Very good battle AI and gameplay
    -Very good campaign AI (now no bankrupt) and ai have money
    -Very fast conquer AI vs rebels, Ai is a beast.
    -New events are beautiful and add money penalty to player, perfect.
    -New buildings of Isel mod pack are good.
    -Campaign is stable.

    Cons:

    -I notice in 5.3 that fallenII or III trait continuos spawn on my char. is normal?
    -Reduce a bit the % of new events.

    for now is all.

    Oh ya i should mention that Character fall ills like every 4 turns or so , maybe for accepting events? and market trigger idk if this a bug but , i get like

    docks bad event , docks back to normal event same turn.
    or
    Positive market , back to normal .

    idk i just don't understand the market events anymore ^^

    Yes, i believe that the "fallen ill"

    trait is gained from the hunting events. And I also think that they should be decreased or perhaps add another trait such as "hunting accident" or something along that line.

    im usually playing SS or BC but i decided to give a shot to DLV ...

    Starting as the papal i played around 40 turn an saved my game ..next day tried to load my campaign but something was rong each time i tried i got a CTD ... so i decided to try as the teuton after around 20 turn lithuany decided to attack me .. each time i tried to play that fight i got CTD again ...

    Another thing is whit the garrison in city/castle u still pay for your unit even wen garrisoned ??

    it is better, faster and I do like it. I am allied with the mongols so I have not seen their aggression.

    I do however feel that the events with the hunts etc come a bit too often. If there are more variation on the events then I think it is good, else it is a bit too repetetive. I do like the consept still. Playing Georgia now and I do like it a lot.

    Playing Kingdom of Jerusalem and having a blast.

    I have to agree with Aposteles, The new Kingdom events are spawning almost every turn sometimes two or three at a time.Tremendous drain on economy, especially at the beginning. Also 3 to 4 family members getting ill every time an event is accepted. But the events themselves are really cool. They just need some fine-tuning.

    The market events also seem a bit buggier then other versions. They are popping up every turn and behaving in an erratic manner.

    The mod itself is getting better and better and better. It's like a whole new game now and what MTWII should have been.

    Hmm I typed a long post, then I realised it was unfair and prejudiced by my bad day at work.

    So, yeah, I like the changes, altho I think some tighter quality control on the events would help a lot.

    I absolutely loved DLV 5.2 but quit playing because of the long waits between turns and when starting battles. If what I'm reading here is true then I'll be redownloading/installing this tonite

    5. No (i'm playing for Georgia and in the year 1215 Mongols have 2 regions...they are aggressive as mine granny)

    Yes to most questions, new computer, so speed hard to gauge.

    I also agree that the events are excellent, but coming too frequently. They add period flavor, but too many becomes annoying. I like Odie's idea that their cost could increase, perhaps in relation to how many provinces, or family members you have.

    Reducing frequency though, of all "random events": markets, mines, hunts, etc.

    I'd like to see if I can adjust to a different frequency....what file is that in....sorry, not an ace modder!

    I have 2 gb ddr 800, x2 4000+ and it is about 2-2.5 times faster than it was on a p4 3ghz with 1gb ddr 400.

    A turn takes about 2 mins now, as before it was closer to 5.

    Dunno if that helps ..

    Even though the game only utilises a single core and still chugs now and then on my HD3850! Its just old school ..

    EDIT: Just tried Rome Total War and it was well choppy.

    My system is not top notch, but pretty stocked:
    4 GB RAM, CORE duo 3 GHZ, GForce 8800T

    Processes turns in less than a minute -- my old system was like 8 minutes.
