Getting the game on

Ok so I installed the mod with little trouble but now when I click it a black box with code shows up, and then it goes to the load screen for the game. But after like a few seconds it closes itself. I need to know what to do so I can play it.

Clean install (if you have a previous version installed before this one):

Use the uninstaller to uninstall DLV. Delete any leftover DLV folders. Usually there is the DLV_ext folder that you need to delete from your main M2TW directory. There is also a DLV_ext folder in your vanilla M2TW data folder that should be gone before install as well. Next download and install DLV 5.0. Then download and install DLV 5.3 and at the end of the install uncheck the box for English versions or leave checked for others. Also make sure that these are pointing to your M2TW directory. Doing these things you should be able to get it started up.

Isn't v5.0 for Kingdoms. I don't own kingdoms and I've put on v4.0

Yes 5.0 is for Kingdoms and thought that was the version you were trying to install. Do everything else I said but instead of installing 5.0 and 5.3 download and install DLV 4.0PE.

And make sure yo uare running the correct patch version of MTW2, ie. not the patch that came with Kingdoms and was subsequently released o nthe net - 4.0 will not work with that patch version.

Well I tried reinstalling it and i've not ran any patches from the internet. I am just using whatever comes with just the game.

You do need to install patch 1.2
