    Icon2 FAUST Unit guide for M2:TW and Kingdoms

    The FAUST Unit Guides for Medieval 2: Total War download here:
    1. Kingdoms expansion (8MB, 40 pages) MediaFire
    2. M2TW Grand Campaign (5MB, 25 pages) MediaFire
    Adobe Reader is required to read and print the PDF file.

    All factions are represented on individual faction pages, categorized into polearm, melee, ranged, and cavalry units.
    All unit pictures are accompanied by at least 12 stats for comparing unit strengths and abilities.

    Each page contains:
    Important stats for comparing unit strengths and abilities:
    1. Recruitment: Class, Size (normal), Cost, Upkeep
    2. Attack: Primary and Secondary weapon, Charge, Range, Damage Types
    3. Defence: (Total: Armor + Skill + Shield) including Special Formations
    4. Unit Morale and Hit Points

    Unique faction information for choosing a side to play:
    1. Campaign objectives (Short and Long)
    2. Religion, Culture, or faction specific requirements
    3. Faction Strengths (subjectively rated) Kingdoms only
    4. Mini map

    Appendices:
    A. Mercenary Units
    B. Navy and Artillery
    C. Unit Defence mechanics

    Retrofit mod is a mod that adds new features from Kingdoms (boiling oil for example) to the old Grand Campaign. Unit balance is based on Kingdoms as well - that's why there are guides for vanilla GC and Retro-fitted one.
    It is available for download in Kingdoms: Hosted modifications.

    Excellent work! But I wonder why some units are excluded ? example : dismounted chivalric knights for danes ?

    They're missing from France, also. There are other units missing. Dismounted Gothic Knights? Those units are available both in the campaign and multiplayer, so I don't understand why aren't they included.

    P.S. I'm looking at the Retrofit version.

    Both of those units aren't available in the campaign. Still could've been included though, but oh well.

    No gothic foot knights in the campaign? My whole world just came crushing down.
    Are you sure? I've played the campaign as HRE, but it has been a while. They are one of the coolest looking units in the game. They were even in the faction preview video. How could they not put them in the campaign...

    Anyway, all units should be included in the FAUST. The stats are just as interesting to multiplayer players... err, multiplayers as they are to singleplayers.

    I've found some errors in the Retrofit version, probably due to copy/pasting. For example, Hungarian chivalric knights should have lower shield values than other CK.

    And it would be really nice if all units were in the guide
