    Default My ideas to speed up turns

    Get rid of merchants ok they can create income though at what point does they have to do with total war? MTW1/RTW was fine without it. Just gives us more specified buildings to increase trade/income.

    Diplomats we cannot do without, though when they enter a foreign culture is it that odd that they set up an embassy and remain their forever....

    princesses what is the use of them to wander arround the map it only delays turns. why not use them with an embassy feature.

    Spies.... use them as a mobile towers iaw as scouts and nothing more ... to let them open the gates 3 at the time without bribes is also very odd...

    assasins another delay on the map....make it as well an embassy feature without the character. Of cause the (failed) results can have severe impacts to relations and that must remain.


    I must admit this is a radical idea, though I believe its worthwile enough to consider

    An embassy feature would REALLY be nice, but I don't think it would possible to add in due to hardcoded limits. Personally, I'd love to see diplomacy on the level of Europa Universalis II in the TW games, but I don't think it's possible to mod in, and given CA's track record with Rome and M2 out of the box, they're too busy going for the "OMG Grafix!!!" crowd to even think of it as a possibility.

    Princess's are even better then diplomats, they can do all the same things diplomats can and they can also marry generals into yoru family tree, marry their cousins to provide a recently come of age family member with a wife and can also steal away huspands from other factions - oh and of course marrying into a family to cement a very strong alliance.

    Merchants - great for making money and add a more role play feel to the game. I'd be bored automatically recieving money from invisible merchants plus i'd hate not being able to set up monopolies on resources and be the only person trading spices or tabacco!

    Assasins - Sneaky sneaky kills of an allied faction's family members who are a little "too" good
