24 not on this year?!

I'm in shock. up until now i thought it was just delayed because of the writer's strike...but cancelled?! this is a dark day.

Bah, I used to watch 24 every week, but unfortunately I think that the series declined severely the last couple of seasons... It is a dark day though.

wait 24 is canceled?

Er its not canceled but 08 season was postponed due to the strike. Unlike most other shows 24 doesnt lend itself well to interruption of its season since its basically one big storyline. Wouldnt make sense to broadcast less than half the season and then wait until who knows when for this strike to end for the rest.

Considering how many season it has run, eventually things can get repetitive.

No clue Id say it is extremely unlikely we'll see any of it before next tv season. Even if strike ended tomorrow who knows how long it would take for production to get rolling again. Im more concerned with Scrub's final season then 24

Yeah the last season was pretty bad...

I hear they're going for big changes this year though. For one thing the action is centered around Washington D.C. instead of LA.

That would be based on the fact that the trailer has Jack being questioned by the US Senate, and 24 hours isn't enough time for him to make it to LA and have a good season on top of it. Three hours of dialog on a plane would suck.

Aside: Who here really thinks Tony is a bad guy?
