I'm new, how to mod's work?

Hey people, I'm new and I checked out some mod's. I was intrested but I have some questions. Basically, by downloading and installing a mod, will this mean I wont be able to play the normal M2:TW and Kingdom? By this I mean, will I have a choice in what game I play, wether its Crusades or a mod that I've downloaded?

You can play the orignial M2 or kingdoms when u install new mods, becus they are in seperate files to the vanillia m2

what about stainless steal? Im worried because it says patch. Is that different?

Post your questions about compatibility issues in the sub-forums of the Mods concerned. You'll get a much better response.. .

Hi there. Many mods have their own mod folders which allow you to play the orginal game and the mod. However, there are plenty of mods that will write-over your orginal M2TW installation and change the game completely. As for Stainless Steel, it creates it's own folder, and it's own launcher, so, after downloading and installing correctly, (it says in the Stainless Steel forum) double click on the Stainless Steel icon that appears on your desktop (once you have installed the Stainless Steel patch 4.1) and up comes a small black screen with a bit of writing, and then it launches into the game.

After playing mods, the Vanilla M2 won't seem the same.
