Default Strange End of 58 BC

I'm in 34 BC. My legions destroyed Sextus Pompey in Spain in 35 BC. I look message "Caesar - dictator... maybe Caesar go to Britain or Parthia etc...."

And i see another message - "Victory condition failed" and Game Over

    That wrong?

I guess 34 bc is too far from the limits of the conditions you were given to finish the missions. It should supposed to be on 45 or near that year if the FRRE team made it that way??

But i dont look message with "Mission filed" in 45 BC or in early time... and in mission messages written geographical or personal tasks (like "kill Ptolemai"), not written time limits

    Maybe problem in this:

    1. I play in Very Hard/Very Hard conditions
    2. Rome Senate in my game still alive and control Asia

Hey, Kozak, after loading your game I think that I have a clue of what has happened:

You managed to conquer the last settlement of the Pompeiani, so you got the message of "victory in the Civil War" via the script. That is correct.

But in the next turn Caesar died so the campaign ended. As he did not die in my game, I was able to play a couple more turns, by the way. When Caesar died in your game, you did not hold all the regions needed in the victory conditions (and that Rome historically possessed at Caesar's death), your campaign ended in failure.

In fact, you conquered all of the necessary regions except for the settlement of Zela in Asia. If you reload your game and manage to make a blitzkrieg campaign conquering that settlement before Caesar dies, I am quite sure that you will get the "victory in the campaign" message.

Thanks for your feedback and for completing the game

Wait... is that it? Even if you achieve victory, when Caesar dies it's over?

I like long campaigns... I want to continue to grow the empire!

so did Caesar.... but the former boni thought otherwise.... but don't feel bad...you have layed the foundations of the Roman Empire and your name will live long enough to see a couple of guys create a mod based in your life!

    regards
