No Priests?

But anyway, I am playing as KoJ, H/VH 1.05 (M2 1.2) and I can't seem to recruit any priests? I am trying to make damascus rebel (I have 8 spies in the city, 1 more in the region, and I want to convert some infidels to make it worse. Public order is still 135%.) and I really good do with some priests.

Is it just taken out of the game, or am I missing something?

I believe that priests are only recruitable from high level churches (cathedral/equivalent or above, off the top of my head - check the building browser)

Imams are recruitable from Jama, tier 4 mosque.I believe priests are same tier.

And just fyi , their religious convertion rate is 1% /turn, plus they don't have enough piety to call for Jihad for awhile.And they don't get piety for converting province, only for dealing with heretics.

It's nice to know priests are recruited from higher level religious buildings. Otherwise I'd have thought something was wrong.

Makuria doesn't seem to be able to recruit them at all, beared out by one of the guys in the mod team saying in a thread in the bugs forum that they'll try to fix it by 1.1

Kind of puts a damper on my planned long campaign aar with them but that just means I'll have to try one of the other great factions while I wait!

And you still need a level 4 church for one priest, 2 level 4 churches for 2, or is it one level 4 can 'breed' as many as you like?
