Icon5 how many generals can get trait benefit from buildinng being completed?

Hi all, first post so be kind! I was wondering if there is a limit to how many people can get a benefit from the various trait points awarded for a building being completed? I am not too in to the whole having to micromanage governors once you get beyond 25 provinces or so, it feels more tedious than fun at times so I wanted to get like a stack of 5 16 yr olds, move them back and forth when a church is going to be completed, when a priest or merchant is trained, when we complete a town hall etc... and get them all the bonus. I see this as kind of the graduating class of 1250 or what not and it would not be an exploit, as you have 5 generals not engaged in combat or taking territory, they are touring the kingdom and learning. Would this work?

Thats a good question actually, though I have a feeling it would only apply to the governor of that settlement...

If you have too much land to manage effectively, why dont you try automanaging? I dont use it personally, but its there if you would rather stick to the action more.

Welcome to the TWC by the way.
    I love you all!

Thanks and thanks for the answers! I am not sure how the automanage works, is it kind of Civ 4 like, where if you push the slider towards spend people are happier and save makes them frown?

Erm, I think you can choose whether the AI spends a lot or a little, and whether they decide to build for economic growth or military might. In terms of keeping people happy, the same things will affect happiness as if you were running the place yourself.
    I love you all!

Having four characters in a settlement and then building/training stuff will only give traits for the governor. But the other characters can pick up traits from some buildings eventually, most noticeably the brothel buildings and the university.

If you move guys around (to previously ungoverened cities) and buildings are completed there, I would assume that general would inherit the traits. But i'm not sure on this.

AFAIK only the Governors and the King get traits from building, if there's five Generals in a settlement only one is the Governor so only he will get the trait, the King will get it no matter where he is. It's the same with combat, if you have five General's Bodyguard units in one battle, only one is considered the General and only he will get the traits from that battle.

I try and use the same tactic I did in MTW. It doesn't work all the time (sometimes the regions you capure are far too advanced) and I doubt it gives the best traits but it's at least a start. Think of the whole process as ripples in a pond. Move your young Generals out to your border and install them as Governors as soon as possible. The idea is to have them build as many things as possible so it works best in undeveloped regions where the buildings take three or less turns to complete (Islands in the Med often seem good for this). As soon as you get to the more advanced buildings, that take longer to construct, send them on to the next undeveloped region and move more experienced Governors out from your heartland. Having your young Governors on the border also gives them battle experience so you are killing two birds with one stone.
