Strange CTD's please help

hey


here's a strange thing, i got BC 1.05 and playing abbassids with new campaign.
prob is that i've got several CTD's during the campaign (99%of the time when i m clicking on an ennemy's army to look on the composition, same on ships, on campaign map).
atm i m in 1199 and i m fighting georgian, everytime i win a battle, a CTD happens while the game is loading to go back on campaign map. I ve tried to pass some turns, nothing happened, eveytime after any fight, i go back to windows.

i m on vista and unzipped the BC program especially posted for vista users. BTW there was no prob with BC 1.0.
The CTD message is : Medieval Total War 2 has met an unknown error

i think i m gonna make a fresh install and perhaps only play 1.0 but i would like to have your advices.


thanks in advance, BTW BC rocks, i play TW for 4 years and tried many mods from RTW to MTWII and this mods really rocks.

Does your loading screen show the correct version number (1.05)?

And have you also made sure during the installation of the patch to select the right language version? If not, this will cause the described issues most probably.

yes it does, 1.05 appears on the loading screen, same prob here after fresh install :/

i got the same problem i think and i noticed the 4 files in the C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\broken_crescent\data\sounds folder missing.

got the same problem since i installed patch 1.05 i think.

im playing with the makurians. each time i klick on or defeat a rebel army, the game crashes and im back on my desktop. same goes for assasination attempts and sometimes for sending spies into enemy towns.

any idea how to solve it?
