hi....i have not posted for a long long long time but i would like to say that all ibfd related mods are fab and congrats to everybody who works on them...........just a thought would it be possible to play all the way through from Aureliun to the end of the empire in the west...or [a.] ..would it be too difficult and very time consuming which i can apreciate [b] does the hard coding not allow
the only reason i ask is that like many others i am a roman nut and anything to prolong a game would be fab

    anyway great work

Wow! I just came back after a few days of absence and I see this! This looks great. It's a fact that I'll be playing it as soon as it is released. By the way, I noticed that you're back Mylae. Good to see you, man.

    hola Ramon,

just a small question: wouldn't it be more interesting to move the starting date 2 years back (268AD) to include Claudius II Gothicus and the great gothic invasion that was checked at the battle of Naissus (one of the biggest and bloodiest battles of the 3rd cent)?

It would make an interesting beginning to the campaign if you had to face a huge gothic horde in the first turn of the game already

    Anyways... it's just a suggestion

this have been matter of discussion. those new set of IBFD mod family will be a sort of "chapter" mods linked by different timeframe.
we will work on a thing at once.

julianus heraclius, being the main developer of Restitutor Orbis will be the one to make that decision.

there has actually been a suggestion to start at 235 (death of Alexander Severus), so the final beginning date may still be changed.

This is great! I always wanted a mod about the crisis of the third century.
Play 'March of Death'. Play it, unless you know a sadder song.

    1) both these campaigns are going to be fantastic I already know...

    2) Why isn't the eastern-roman empire playable in the 3rd century crisis campaign? Does eastern empire refer to the palmyran empire? Is the mod before or after the tetrarchy?

    you guys rock...

Yes, the east empire refers to the Palmyran faction. The mod is set before Diocletian became emperor and so precedes the tetrarchy.

Thanks, not bad for an old bloke like me
