The backbone of army are legionaries, with cataphracts to do the main killing, and most importantly the diplomats, who had sucessfully manipulated my allies to destroy enemy army for me (that's why the relatively small army ). It's more like byzantines than armentians

the campaign ended though, a stupid rtw crash killed my save file.......

btw that's the best video setting I can use with my fx6200. AA and fine unit but nothing else.

I'm restarting a sarmatian campaign, VH/M. Will have screenshots soon.

It seems very hard to make good screenshot from HA battles.. Well not exactly battles, the only scenes I have seen so far are just slaughterings, and the arrows look really bad even with anti-aliasing on.

I'm trying to tweak some video settings to see if I can get a better unit/effect graphics

You can enable the movie cam by using the -movie_cam switch for RTW BI based games.

Play a custom battle and save the replay at the end. Load that replay and then play with the camera.

I think aqd was referring to getting the units / effects to look better by playing with the graphic settings and not the camera settings.

Also, if you post back you should edit your post rather than add another post. The moderators will pick this up at some stage and have to merge the topics and probably leave a reminder about what you are doing. I did that once or twice.

hmmm how do you get graphics with no aliasing at all? I changed the video setting but even the highest AA level cannot produce that

You can overwrite the game's settings in the NVidia settings program - at least with the newer cards. I know Brusilov has got an 8800GTS or X

It's a 8800 GTX card.

I did go into the Control Panel and Manage 3D settings and change some of the settings. I know somewhere else someone posted how to do this and I had a play.

I've not really attempted to analyze the results.
