5.3 installation question

Hi again?

i read this... for the installment of 5.3

- Install MTW II
- Install Kingdoms
- Uninstall old DLV versions + delete all DLV_ext folders
in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War
and
in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data
- Install DLV 5.0
- no DLV Addons installed
· Execute file Deus_lo_Vult_Patch53_Install.exe and enter the correct path for the installation
Example: C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War
(For Germans change it to: C:\Programme\SEGA\Medieval II Total War !!!!)

Does this mean that i delete 5.0? i was just wondering because it is a patch?

Patch 5.2 and 5.0 are mixed together, so to avoid any nonsense
- uninstall and delete all DLV stuff

does that mean you can download 5.3 and install it without 5.0 originally?

also is it just the folders because i have a DLV_ext cfg file as well?

No you need DLV5 installed then install 5.3.

The reason why an uninstallation is required is because there are number of files in 5.2 that would cause a CTD if mixed with 5.3.

right so if i am just using 5.0 then i can install 5.3 straight off and that repmans post meant uninstall 5.2?

Follow repman's advice uninstall DLV. Then install DLV5, then 5.3.

If you try to uninstall just 5.2 it could cause unforeseen problems..
