So I've been watching reruns of "Friends"...

... and I've come to the conclusion that Rachel is a total ***** and slut.

Funny show, though. Matthew Perry's the best.

Only good thing about that show was that Courtney Cox managed to get hotter (thanks medical science) as the series went on while the other two didnt.

Seasons 1 -> 3 are good but after that its all downhill, especially for Chandler... Monica was his Yoko... hes just not funny with Monica, who gets crazier and crazier with her whole cleaning psycho thing untill its just not funny

I lost interest in the series when he married Monica.
Oh and Jennifer Aniston is a babe, enough said.

the characters just turned in to stereotypes of themselves as the show got more popular, it was still good but so full of cliches and catchphrases. ooh look theres Joey eating too much whilst Monica cleans *yawn*

all of them are quite slutty its the nature of sitcoms, they have to have stuff that has happened 'off air' to talk about 'on air' so they have lots of old boyfriends etc to talk about, almost all the character seem to do is go on dates and sleep with people. a long term relationship lasts only a few episodes and soon they have had 3 bfs in one series. My favourite piece of 'realism' in Friends is how they live in a downtown appartment yet have stunning wardrobes and $300 haircuts.

I used to watch until Ross started putting that annoying ,squeaky ,OTT scream everytime he said something remotely funny.

Lost intrest after that.

My condolences. Maybe this should be put in the 'Help and Advice' forum so we can set up a support group. Surely, for you, William Hartnell era Dr. Who episodes would be a good first step to recovery.

Thankfully I watched Seinfeld, and never thought of watching Friends.

Friends is on every day, double bill, and has been for years. Every day, I came back from school, sat back, relaxed, and turned on Friends. Ready, Steady, Cook would be on, but I rarely felt like watching a big black guy trying to be a scrawny white guy, so Friends was really my only option. I can recite every single episode, I know them all almost off by heart.

In a sense, Friends rocks. It sucks a bit at times, but its still great. The fact that the actors got $1m an episode shows what an iconic show it was.

They started rerunning episodes at 7 PM every night over no-ratings period. So we're still in the early seasons.

It hasn't been on free-to-air for a about five years, so that explains why I'm watching it. That, and it's funny.

but the point is, Friends was a great show of the 90s until Ross &Rachael finally got togeter for the first time. then it became a dumb tv formula show where the writers would make up stupid 'sitches' and contrived 'quirks'.
of course i hate Ross, whiny pathetic little dweeb.
