June 5th 2008: Here are some BC videos that I've made. Though, I wasnt able to complete the original BC video that I was aiming for, because my PC didn't want to play BC online, so I couldnt make the replay for that video...

Please help me
I'm planning on making one bigger BC video (1.05) . I've already written about it somewhere else, but I can't find it anymore lol
Anyway, I do need some people who have good computer and internet connection and who will help me playing the replay.

It will be a siege with more than 15k units (I hope GS will support that) including Armenia, KoJ, Mongols and Ayyubids. A fight between christians and muslims. I need seven people (5 attacker vs 3 defender), I can probably provide a TS server. What I need are people who understand english and who can accept my orders (1st rule: If I press stop, everyone has to do the same ).

I want to play it asap so that you don't have to wait for the video too long
The latest target date is sunday, 27th in the evening, better would be even earlier.

I hope that the battle itself will be funny too (despite the obvious lag) and I need you all !!!!!
(Otherwise you'll miss a probably great BC-video)

Please post here whether you will help and what time is the best for you to play...

GFX: ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
RAM: 2 GB
Processor: Intel E6600 Core 2 Duo
Internet Connection: T1

I don't know if I want to put my computer under the stress of 15,000 soldiers, though. Mine tops out of max performance at 4000.

I can probably support that amount of soldiers but I will have no choice but to put my settings as low as possible...my internet connection at school is good though.

The KoJ, Armenia, and Mongols would be assaulting the Ayyubids? Is that the scenario you have in mind? (considering that kinda happened?)

Damn hard to use. Must have been the worst first attempt ive ever had at anything.

Wow whats that? Is that decisive battles 2 or something?

I remember watching number one... and its just like "the legionaries had curved shields and gladius swords" I'm just thinking... lol pwned by your own historical inaccuracy.

I'll probably end up buying a 8800gt(stuck with a 6600gt atm) and a decent microphone in a month or two... so I'd certainly be interested in making videos at some point in the future (maybe some narrated historical ones... maybe narrated MP). It'd certainly be interesting if BC developed a video makers scene. Hell I bet we could do stuff better then some of the decisive battles episodes! (Although unless you guys might have any ideas we would probably fail at the old men walking around in a random location aspect).

I cant imagine a computer managing that without lag, I mean 15k units, my comp lags as hell at field battles with thats size!

AI scripts lag game a lot, on MP it runs a bit smoother(at least that I heard).

By the way, if you plan to make a video, for God's sake, delete banners at units ! It's crappy to see them floating above someone's head.

You might want to scratch the Mongols and use one of the other factions. They are basically vanilla and wouldn't do much to show-case BC's units.

I recommend getting some sort of voice messaging program like ventrillo - if you don't use one already.

hey I can maybe help you.don't know a lot of things about my computer but I can play on battles with +- 7000-10000(don't really know) with highest graphics(without shadows and shader 3) without real important lag.If you want I can help you

With that PC you really should be able to have 15k units on the battlefield with no problems! I hope you have time on sunday, I'd like to see you and your PC participating in that battle.

I'll have to put the graphics down myself too, but what I'm more afraid of is the question, whether Gamespy supports that amount of soldiers. I don't want to play with 1 fps in the end!
The battle I'm aming at takes places 1260 in Damascus. It's Armenia, KoJ and Mongols against Ayyubids.

Yeh, I've planned a KoH inspired movie out of BC too, but that would be a even bigger project and will need it's time... Or what first vid do you mean?

Dunno whether a 6600 will let you play 15k soldiers and a huge city... Though with that many units it rather depends on your CPU.

Thanks for sticking the thread! About the Mongols: The problem is, that in that battle I was aming for the Mongols participated. So I need some Mongols in it, even though they are vanilla. Maybe I can exchange the Mongol faction against something else. I can use another faction and call them Mongols in the video. Otherwise I'll let appear the Mongols just a bit...

Yes, I'll probably disable banners, even though I like the BC ones. For the CineEd you can't change the banners in the BC preference file though, gotta make it another way
