Try handling a smaller weapon in battle. A short sword can be used to make quick but deadly thrusts. I don't know how you intend to defeat any armoured opponents with a camera. Optical or digital zoom?
But, seriously, are you talking about the panning and scrolling speed because that can be changed. The only thing I find sluggish is the zoom of the Total War and General cameras.
the zoom take minutes
Which camera are you using. RTS, Total War or General? Is it the zoom that just changes the altitude of the camera (the horse's bum zoom) or the other more eye pleasing one that zooms in and pans up?

Shouldn't he just change the sensetivity?
Some people don't have the time to visit the "options" menu and check for solutions...
What is this general cam I hear people talking about? The thing where you select the general and press delete to focus in on him? If so that works with all units, so why is it called general cam?
You cant change the sensitivity of the zoom or change the Total War cam and General cam to use the same zoom as the RTS cam, although I would have prefered the RTS zoom on the general cam.
The general cam will make the camera stick to the general permanently. You might need to double click on your general at the start of the battle to get it to stick. I only usf general cam just to make the battles a little tougher.
depends on ur comp
How exactly it depends on your PC? mine is quite all right and unless i'm using the RTS camera, it takes forever to zoom in or out.
N3rull can you show me from where to adjust the scroll rate? i haven't seen such option so far.

Well I would have thought because when zoomed out, the units look like ants, but to zoom in to see the links on the chainmail of a regular footsoldier, well, you'd expect that it would take some time to adjust, no?
I have never touched whether to use other cameras.. Are they better?

Its not that. There are two types of zoom (using the mouse wheel). The Total War and General camera adjusts the altitude of the camera. The RTS camera zooms in and pans upwards. The former requires more turning of the mouse wheel to zoom all the way in. The latter is quicker and more fluid. I'm sure that is what the thread starter is referring to.
