    Default Crusading nobles in Teutonic

How do I get money from the crusading nobles?

And is there a cap to how much money I earn?

And does the crusading general have to be the commanding general to count as a win?

    1. You need to kill as many pagans as you can with him. The best policy seems to be executing all pagan prisoners, exterminating captured pagan settlements and in general killing as many of them as you can on the battlefield.

    2. I'm not sure if there's a cap, but I know for sure that you can get well over 10000 florins for successful butchering.

    3. Yes, the crusading noble has to be in command for it to count.

I wanted to milk the English cashcow noble so badly I conquered all of Lithuania with him. When the next one came around, I had no pagans left to attack!

So this is the way to earn money as TO in this campaign? I had a negative treasury from turn 2 in both campaigns I've started with them so far and can't find a way to make any money. Sacking settlements is lucky to net me 1000 Florins (Rebels are 0 ) and even after building all economic structures, and recruiting Merchants in Turn 1 I'm still broke and can't replenish any of my armies, let alone field a decent sized one while still maintaining order in settlements.

I just saw a post where someone was talking about strange diplomacy and they were saying that they had conquered 24 provinces by turn 16. I can only just field enough men to garrison the four provinces I've conquered by turn 8 and a small mobile army to retake the one province I lost.

    Yeah... money is rough going.

I'm playing on H/H and thought the hard difficulty was doing this.

I haven't been able to really build anything other than dirt roads and the very basic farms.

I am having the same problem as homefry. It is turn 19 and I am starting to make enough cash to expand. When the English noble arrived I sold 2 of my 3 cogs and soon sold the third one. This is the slowest expansion and most difficult MTW2 I've ever played. The Poles and Novgorod (allies) sneak attacked me. At least the Poles are my allies and have taken one Lithuanian city. I have taken 4 Lithuanian settlements but they give little cash. The one Danish (Revel?) gave 6600 and has really helped. I am playing on H/H. I have had to fight almost every battle on the field to reduce losses as much as possible. About all that I have been able to build is roads and farms. If I had not been able to buy some mercs I'd have been overrun and lost at least 3 settlements. From turn 6 to 18 it was very difficult.
