im processing the traits file, it says not defined to all three religions, yet the triggers work in game?
Wot does not defined mean?

That error message does not refer to religions, but to a trait named pagan, which exists in vanilla but you might have deleted but not removed from your triggers.
EDIT: In fact that error has nothing to do with how religions can be used in RTW. You cannot give religion via a trigger. Religion can only be given as an effect of a trait or ancillary.

I got eyes but cannot see!
Sorry squid I still dont understand, why is pagan not defined?
The case of the trait is important, you're using lower case in the trigger but uppercase in the definition, and the case must match.

Omg im blind, many thx.
I tried your wonderfull tool but i found something that i can't figure out in the tool it says my change i made should work but i get old value's in the game i'm not good (yet) at modding and i feel so bad screwing up with just 4 lines of notepad
I'm a quick learner but i'm still human
if you see i make a mistake don't be afraid to tell if not directly in a pm
Memento Mori
I'm assuming you changed export_descr_character_traits.txt but not the corresponding entries in text/export_VnVs.txt.

Just to say that I've discovered something while sorting out some scripting and traits.....for the condition "SettlementName xxxxxxxx", it is the external (show in game) name rather than the hidden name for settlements that is required. I'm not sure whether this was already known or not, but I hope this adds something. This is true for scripts, EDCT and EDA, and explains why a number of the RS2 traits, ancillaries and other things weren't working.
Wow... that's quite relevant news... It seems I'll have to change a bunch of lines of coding. Thanks guys for your findings
On a further note, I want to report a little bug that's not showing when using ATVTW. In EDA, each trigger supports a maximum a 1 ancillary (different from EDCT, which supports several traits per trigger). So the error that assigning several ancillaries to one trigger will generate is that the game will never finish loading; it will get no farther than the initial loading screen.
Hope anyone can find that useful...

The effect Combat_V_Culture_<culture_code> in the ancillaries produces a CTD but is not captured as error by the tool. Am I using that effect incorrectly?

Yes, there is not attribute Combat_V_Culture_<culture_code> there is only Combat_V_<internal_culture_name_first_letter_capitalized>.

Anyway, it would be helpful if this was fixed in the validator.

I've been working on a fix for that issue, and have been testing it. It's almost ready to release.

Go to the first post to get the new version.
For those of you with keen eyes, yes this notice skips a version, that is because I released a new version on December 13th but forgot to post about it, even though it was available through the downloads section. The fixes listed above include all fixes in the 2.2.5 release.
Note: If you're using one copy of TWLibrary.dll for ATVTW and TWScriptEditor make sure that you also grab the new version of TWScriptEditor
