Problems with the texture of siege engines modified

Using all fantastic tools , I am grateful for these: stratmodelconverter , meshconverterv1_0_4, animationutilities . I well-read one the advices and tricks:
meshdocumentation , How to edit unit textures and shields using Photoshop
I obtain new units and new sieges, but in the process of conversion.
The siege turn out to be very brilliant, and I them do not manage to turn normal.

I think that the problem this one in milkshape I must modify something Before saving but I donīt why , transparence? alfa? , Can you help me ?

Good , finaly I obtain the correct texture. I donīt because it happens ,:

    Attachment 8916

if after of editing , merge and transform the new siege-engine with Milkshape , the file ms3d passes for meshconverterv1_0_4 , it obtain a truncated file , donīt worry ,

with WinHex and the no modified mesh ( siege_tower_town_high.mes ) cut and paste , after siegeenginelod0 ,and the texture recovers.

This new engine allows protect to the infantry of the enemy arrows , prevents the charge of cavalry in custom battles

Thanks to KnightErrant for his useful tools and his meshformatdocumentation

Wow, I've got a similar problem with my Carroccio new version... I'm gonna try the modifications you suggested (even if I'm not sure to have understood)

    Nice job!

    Hi Argantonio,

If I understood correctly, the meshconverter1_0_4 died right after writing
out, in binary, the siegeenginelod0 string, and you went in with a
hex editor, found in all the bytes that come at the end of a mesh file,
the right part to glue onto the end of a truncated mesh file, put it in game
    and got it to work?
I don't think I've ever been more impressed!
Do you program? Someone with your intuition for binary files would
    make an awesome tool maker.

Exactly, I do the following thing ,

I want an engine with the caractress fisics of a tower of siege, that of good defense for my infantry , in data/descr_engines search middle_tower , and read:
    engine_mesh siege_engines/siege_tower_town_high.mesh

This is the original file , pass for meshconverterv1_0_4 and obtain siege_tower_town_high.ms3d I do the modifications in milkshape

    Attachment 8917

The tricks are erase the commentaries of the bones that take the texture and it is necessary to to change the name of the file , for one , that has SKEMS3D ej. ( skeleton_siege_tower_big) this chage is for incorpored the siegeenginelod0 string
Save with the same name siege_tower_big.ms3d use meshconverterv1_0_4 and obtain siege_tower_big_converted.mes this file is truncated .

Then like write in post use to winhex and the information of the texture sticks and works.
Many problems stay, to fit the animations, all the vertices go to the same bone, the models destoyed and destruction ,but at least the textures do not shine

I am not a programmer only I put in practice what your write in meshformatdocumentation , empirism test - mistake

Still impressive though. I converted and then back converted
    the siege_tower_town_high.mesh and don't get a truncation
error. I've PM'd you my e-mail address. If you'd be so kind,
could you send me the modified .ms3d file. I'd like to do the
back conversion and see how it fails and see if I can fix it.
