10/10, what! well the cinematography was supposed to be like that. the movie was the guy recording the whole event. i do recommend the movie though

I really liked the movie, but it left too many questions unanswered. The special effects were pretty cool, and there was a lot of action.

yea i want to know what and where it came from. the part where it showed the b2 bomber dropping its payload on the thing was an awesome scene although it was still alive after that

Well it took four direct hits from those 2,000lbs bombs to knock it down. At the end I think they used MOAB to put it down.
Welcome to the Great Race 2015. Either IS wins or Iran bails out Assad in the nick of time. Whoever wins Iraq and Syria and everybody else loses.

The helicopter pilot was a moron. If I was flying it, I'd be going in the opposite direction of the thing, not alongside it.

I just got back from seeing it. I'll agree misfitsfiend in that it was around a 6 or 7/10. I only go that high because I'm comparing it to Godzilla which left me yawning in the theater and disappointed that I wasted that much of my life watching.

If you see it for cinematography your going to be sourly disappointed, its essenly Blairwitch in the city. But what makes it so much more than Blairwitch is what we are seeing in the captured video. There are so many iconic monster movie scenes as well as some interesting ambiance stuff that I think I need to see it again just to see what's going on in the background.

But all in all I think I just watched a long teaser trailer for the movie that is going to answer all our questions.

Also, the Star Trek trailer was worth it too.

definitely, i dont know much about star trek but it looks like a prequel to everything.

were u surprised about about the monster? it looked like a bat/rancor/alien thing instead of the whale monster concepts

I'm waiting for Rod Hilton's "review" of it. They're usually better than the movie itself.

Case in point: The Golden Compass.

I believe the whale concepts were fraudulent, and stemmed from an unofficial and maliciously deceptive source.

OT: such a great trilogy too... I mean, did they need to give nicole kidman 20 mill to do that? Some movies CAN be story driven, despite the way hollywood is leaning these days. Too many hack directors.

I just got back seen it about 10 minutes ago, and wow... the camera shaking made me nauseous, but it didn't take me away from the movie too much. However, the ending really disappointed me; I hated how it was a "leave the ending to yourself" type movie.

In case you didn't know where it came from, at the end, when it reverts back to the recorded film before the attack, they're at the fair. While they are recording the sea, on the far right, there is a thick black line descending very quickly. That's the monster, which explains why it destroyed the oil tanker in the beginning.
