No sound or music

Hi everyone,

I searched through the quick fixes but havent found any solutions.

I have no music or sounds whatsoever.

Is this a known bug?

I mean I can do everything, custom battles, campaign only no sounds.

Can someone help?

This is probably a stupid question but have you checked that you haven't selected mute on the sound options

Happened to me a few times and I almost uninstalled the game to fix it.

Yes, I rechecked it and it wasnt muted.

So the problem doesnt come from there.

Does BC needs to be installed directly to the Medieval 2 folder?

Cause I installed it first to another folder and then copied it into the Medieval 2 folder.

Im running V1.03 (since I also have kingdoms installed).

One thing I noticed from one of the quick fixes is I had no files in the sounds folder before I started the game. Only after I ran the game for the 1st time I did notice the files in there.

Odd situation...

I solved the problem. Apparently the game doesnt generate the cfg file properly if not installed to the medieval 2 directory. What I had done before was installing to a different directory and then copy paste onto medieval 2 directory.

Anyways, working now...
