Why can't I defend?

Why can't I create a Custom Battle in which I am the defender in a seige?

Is it not possible?:hmmm:

You have to click a small button in the screen where you buy the units to set your team as defender. Do it by clicking a sword-like button and when it turns into a shield your team is set as a defender. I recall it being on the upper left corner of the screen.
