Default Music That Brings Back Memories

    Hey guys,

I felt compelled to create a thread about music that brings back the memories of the good ole' times. I'm in the thick of high school, flooded with homework, and I've been thinking a lot about the good old carefree days in elementary school.

My best friend passed away a few days ago, so I've been listening to a lot of music to try and soothe away the pain.

For me, these songs bring back good times

    Aces High by Iron Maiden
    Come Undone by Duran Duran
Your Hand in Mine by Explosions In The Sky
One Night in Bangkok (Ultimix) by Vinyl Shakerz

Whatabout you guys? I'm just curious, and I hope that you all think of the good times when you share your songs .

Dramamine by Modest Mouse - reminds me of good times, relaxing with my friends
Dark Center of the Universe by Modest Mouse - brings back thoughts of my first year of college. The smell of the cold winter air, snow, and cloudy skies
Cherub Rock by the Smashing Pumpkins - reminds me of car rides listening to Siamese Dream when I was younger
Say it Ain't So by Weezer - reminds me of the old Alt Rock station in Philly that I grew up on
Under the Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers - it just brings out reminders of the hard times in life

Anything by Darkthrone -> Theme of a children TV series -> childhood.
    Compare Darkthrone to Child series.

Also: Dvorák's 9th, always reminds me of Babar the Elephant King. Because the opening movement always served as "theme music" for Rataxas.

And then there's Tchaikovsky's Fantasy-Ouverture Romeo and Juliet, used in that dino comic stuff with Littlefoot and consorts.

This song reminds me of high school more than almost any other. It was released when I was a freshman.

I still enjoy it a lot, especially for a radio pop song. Couldn't find the official video.

Also, I always found it odd that a song that is basically 90% about drugs and the other 10% about sex could do so well on the radio these days.

'Ocean Breathes Salty' by Modest Mouse
will always remind me of my drive on Highway 1 in California.

'Last Summer' by Lost Prophets reminds me of the summer before college. Thankfully it wasn't the last summer with them but it still recalls my fears and such going into college.
