Regarding the Broken Crescent d-load from Filefront

Hi again B.C. team,

Yes, I thought that bit torrent would not have a virus somewhere on it nor did I think that the 8+ parts would either but I did do a destructive recovery to re-enable ALL my .exe's!

I've redownloaded B.C. from Filefront and I can't see the icon on my desktop just the Microsoft defender shield attached to something resembling an icon of B.C.

IS THIS SAFE?
I ran Norton Antivirus on it just to make sure.

Please, I DO NOT want to do another destructive recovery again.

I am going to have to say it's more likely something on your end. I've just scanned the file that I've seeded as a torrent and played and picked up nothing.

I assure you I wouldn't release a major file like this to so many people without virus scanning it. And this belongs in the tech report subforum.

why are u using norton? it is just bloatware like all the others. use AVG, there is a free personal addition.

Hi all,

I ASSURE you my Norton, Spybot and Adaware were all up to date when I downloaded both Bit Torrent.exe & the Filefront version.

I noticed that ALL my .EXE's were completely disabled after I removed bit torrent.exe. I mean: MSCONFIG, SYS. RESTORE, NORTON, ETC.

No joking. I've only had to destructively do things 3 times in my "computing life."

This is NOT meant as a disrespect, as the mod is a labour of love and one of which I'm proud to have available!

Hi B.C. team,

This is the 3rd time I've downloaded the B.C. mod from Filefront (all 600+ MB's of it) and every time, the downloaed icon is transparent BUT has a Windows Defender shield on the lower right hand corner.

Can anyone please just confirm this?
I've tried to install & run this as an administrator and custom battles DO NOT work. Should they?

I'm downloading all 8 parts from the other source instead now.

No sir, I DON'T think I'm special. I didn't fully read the released B.C. mod page and as such didn't see the Tech help section because I wanted to download this mod so bad!

Does that help you understanding why I posted what I posted and where I posted it?

I used the filefront version... worked fine (XPsp2) and with nice speeds.
