Yes for sure. Fall of Konstantinopoulis in 1453 is consider to be fall of Byzantium. So, it was not yet under ottoman control, nor islamized.

despite this small detail, the city was officialy named "Istanbul" in the 1930s.....before that, the name remained "Constantinople".

    you're a bit confused..

Iconium was the capital of the Seljucs not of the Ottomans...

The capitals of the Ottomans were:

    Sogut: 1302 - 1326
    Bursa (Prussa):1326 -1365
    Edirne (Adrianople): 1365 - 1453 (that's the one you're looking for)
    Constantinople: 1453-1922

Anyhow, the film was made after a theater play which concentrated on this whole idea of dying honorable to earn a passage into heaven. Add to that a desire of filmmakers to enlarge on that idea while being under budget and you have a film that is declared as the worst in Serbian cinematography. A harsh critic, but mostly fair...

What about the events before the battle.
When was the war declared? When did the Turks first invade Serbia, etc. Who was in control of Serbia and who were its allies?

My personal opinion is that there are too many sieges. 1-2 will be enough.

And... I don't know is here the right place to ask, but all that battles including Ottoman forces remind me something - I don't know how exactly to ask my question to understand me, but I'll try. So, if I play with Bulgaria, and make my little war with Byzantium, Serbia and etc etc... Will we be melt away by the forces of islam. Will Turks be made strong enough to crush me if I don't make alliances, if I fight alone against them? I will wait answers.

    Regards!

Well this is one of the primary objectives of the mode but its all about game balancing. We all agreed that it isnt good idea to spam stack of ottomans(like TATW did with Mordor) but better to give them bonuses (like money).

I think that it will be very interesting if they have some starting armies(not too big) and if they can train more units at a time than normal factions. Of course, only if the player is not with ottoman faction. Actually, if the player is with ottomans, maybe he shall have all those bonuses like training bigger army, BUT the balkans will make alliance against turks... You are the boss, you decide what to do

Dont forget that this mode is about realism. The ottomans didnt have big army( at least at the mode timeframe) - they used the armies of their christian vassals.

Yes, you are right. But they were specialist of making big armies quickly... Very agressive faction.

I have been wondering: If we have battle of Chernomen, what kind of units should Vulkashin have, Bulgarian or Serbian? He was a serbian noble, but he ruled over lands mostly populated with bulgarians. Maybe mixed?

probably. no real evidence what sort of units were included
thing is that mrnjavcevici were royal family, serving uros V. so, probably vlastela will be serbian, but infantry bulgarian or something like that
