Default Give me your JSTOR grocery lists!

Hopefully this weekend, weather permitting, me and a friend will head up to the campus library where we can receive guest passes and get access to the bowels of archeological findings, historic narratives, and others goodies.

If theres anything crucial that we need to find out for RS2, post it here. I will do my best to find relevant info for the game while I'm there.

I might have to do a combination of memorization/copying by hand becasue I am not sure if they allow copy/paste jobs or printing the reports or anything, but we'll see.

    Anyway, gimme your grocery lists

    1. Military of Pergamon. Anything you can on that.

    2. Military of Achaian league

    3. Military of Aitolian league (or that would be Aetolian, not sure of the latin transiteration)

    4. Military of Syracuse in the time of Hiero and Hieronymos. (Actually don't bother with this one, all search on this proved that nothing was found).

1-3 are fine, if you can find them.

You can download JSTOR articles directly to the archive. I have permanent access, and i did a ten second Pergamon search. Il show you the screens so you know how to download the articles. But remember, everything is copyrighted...

First of all, find your article. This one is a review of another journal, so this particular one is kind of useless.

Download link, underlined in green. Hit that.

Then hit this green underlined one too. Done. Its that simple.

When something is DL'ed, I assume I need a floppy disk to take it home with me?

Or, does the DL mean its opening the article in adobe for you when you click on it?

no, it downloads as a PDF format file, you will need more than a floppy disk though, take a USB flash drive.

I do not own one, but I will head out and shop for one before I go. Did not realize they were as cheap as they are now ($10-30).

I will find out everything I can that y'all need to know.

The Belgae/Briton Celts I have many books dealing with them, so they are somewht covered, at least compared to the other factions we still need to do.

Concerning the Boii I have very little thats relevant to the game (mainly archaeological findings, farming stuff, trinkets, etc...). I hope JSTOR provides something solid and thorough we all can discuss on them.

I have not posted the info on the other 2 Celtic factions...yet. The Spartans and Macedonians were up to bat an I was sidetracked with getting some Galatian stuff posted for anything having to do with Pergamon and Asian Minor, as well as hunting, rather unsuccessfully, for interesting info about Armenian units for the unit descriptions. I thought Pergamon was next on the faction to do list too . Once I come back from my "vacation" to the campus library, I hope to have plenty of good stuff. I do not intend to make only one trip though, as my weekends are usually rather free.

Hmmm...getting hyped to spend a day at the library! I'm officially a nerd. Oh well, I reckon it could be worse
