Hard drive space

So im trying to free some hard drive space, but i dont know how...I currently have 13.9 gig of free space and 13.6 gig of used space...the problem is, i have no idea whats making it use up so much space. I look at the "Add or Remove program" and all i see, are programs that use up 15-30 mb. I even used CCleaner, and all it did is remove 69 mb. So can anyone help me out here? thanks

Take a peak at your C: drive, right click on the folders in there and go down to properties. Find the one (most likely program files) that is the largest. Then go in there and take a look at the folders in there, you can mark off folders that you know about (things like games and Internet explorer). Doing this (while taking loads of time) will allow you to track down your missing space.

Or, go into "my documents" and look at the music and pictures files. Those are usually HUGE on computers.

System restore can eat up a sizable chunk of space when it creates a ton of pointless restore points. Ive seen it eat up over 20gigs on a PC once.

Wow, I think they stopped making those hard drives in 2004.

Uninstall all your games.

Windirstat is a simply little program that can show you graphically what's on your hardrive and what's taking up the most space. Info here...

You should be able to get 200+ gig for peanuts..

Do you have M2TW installed on your drive? If so, thats why. After installing it takes 7GB. Unpacked its like 11, and then mods add even more. I have 100 GB dedicated to MTW, M2TW and RTW -- only.
