It's too calm on the east side... I'm beginning to feel lonely because I will have to fight the AI.

At least probably for the first 25 turns, until the Rajputs are gone.

It doesn't say difficulty... but if the battles are very hard I'm not interested (no more then hard plz!). Also the second rajputs can't be harder then the imamate of oman.. so you may as well enable them. This isn't v.s. ai.. small factions can band together. I mean if they allied with the sindh it wouldn't be too bad.
No I think Darkarbiter wants to be the Rajputs, and if he does I will ally with him.

Maybe we should start our own game?

I am willing to leave if we can get more people. I just want to play a BC hotseat campaign, VH battles is a horrible sacrifice though ...

    (you can always reconsider Armatus!!!!)

Vh battles are honestly pretty easy and you can't expect to win all your battles. But it would be better that people quit before the game then during it

I will stick to this hotseat and follow Armatus idea although I believe it's better to fight the battles ourselves
. We can always start another hotseat where we fight every battle.
    what do you think?

I am sorry your post sounds contradictory to me. You believe its better to fight the battles ourselves, yet that is what we are doing in the hosteat campaign...:hmmm:

And what do you mean "we can always start another hosteat we fight every battle". Thats what this hotseat campaign is.

Simply put, are you pro-autoresolve, or pro-fighting AI.

I'm pro hard v.s. rebels (and npc factions) and autoresolve v.s. humans

I can send out a message just as soon as I'm sure everyone is ready.

I really didn't want to make anymore comments on this, but let me also point out those of us who are in very hard starting positions such as myself.

If our neighbors choose to exploit their starting strength against factions such as mine (KoJ) then those factions are doomed right off the bat. My best hope at survival in this scenario is to fight my way out on the battle map, otherwise the AI will auto resolve in favor of the greater army not the better tactician.

If everyone's playing field was equal I could only half see the point for auto resolve. But considering it's not this gives those with a clear disadvantage some control over their own death or possible survival.

I've started 4 or 5 KoJ campaigns so far and in only one where I was totally passive did I last past 10 turns or feel confident enough that I'm not simply just fighting my way into self destruction. Yet even so if The Ayyubid Sultanate moves in on me I'm dead. The AI is a little more forgiving than a player who wants nothing more than to win as quickly as possible. If they do it's over. There is nothing I can do to stop it. Especially if it's auto-resolve.

Plus, autoresolve doesn't always play out right. For example, an army with mostly HA (which some factions must rely on) will have a clear disadvantage because of thier low attack (melee?) and defense. The autoresolver cannot calculate mobility.

Well, enough of that. Those of you who want to stay, stay.

I see no point in coming crashing against you from the start, Armatus. You might be an Infidel, Blasphemer and Heathen but this is for fun and destroying you (although I doubt I would be able to ) would take you out of the game and take some of the fun away, even for me. But a conflict between our factions is impossible to avoid in the long run, so I hope my skills on the battlefield against your armies can atleast match yours.

All you need is the 1.05 patch and the preferences set for Hotseat ? Then, I'm ready.

    when r we startin?

and im playing battles if we have the ability to do so in the campaign as i wont be the only one no doubt....

surely the fact every one has the disadvantage and the advantage should balance it?

I think we've established there are pros and cons to both view points, however I don't know the darkarbiter has been on since he pulled out so I will give it give it a few more hours and then we are starting.

Ok, if it comes around to my turn tonight I will definitely be able to play it. Feels great that we are so close to getting this started now.
