    Default CD Drive Problem

I have a problem with my CD drive.

It's not a broken drive but a problem with motherboard, but I just have no knowledge to fix the issue. Motherboard is MSI P965 Neo, and I have tried to fix it several ways, now I'm quite convinced the problem is DMA/PIO, but after a several failed attempts decided ask help here.

I have tried to change settings from Device Manager, but even when I choose DMA for the secondary IDE, it just doesn't change from PIO to DMA.

I might be able to solve the problem from BIOS, but have not found, nor does know what to do there exactly.

    So any help is appreciated.

Sorry but what exactly is the problem your trying to fix?

My CD Drive changes back to slower PIO mode, making it impossible to look movies or burn with the driver (I suppose this is the reason). If this change does not cause such an dramatical change; then I'm open for all suggestions that could cause my CD Drive to work very slowly.

I'm quite sure it's either BIOS or driver problem since I have tried CD Drive in another computer and it works like a charm. If it's not than it must be a cable, or other hardware issue (but it's very unlikely).

The problems are similiar to what mentioned in this thread, but the driver is also very slow in playing mp3 and audio tracks.

    EDIT: Got it fixed finally.
