Sorry my friend but it's not mistake. This flag is closest representation of early ottoman state. The crescent moon is yellow because there are still some tribal influence (this is flag which is used before OLD FLAG) All other flags come much longer after this mod starting. There are similar situation with some other factions which are better known by some other symbols(or other colours) but we are aiming for most accurate which was used at 1345 AD.

Tribal influence... You mean flag of Kayı from Oguz Turks. And It is Red & White.

Flag that you showed is another flag that was given to the Osman Gazi from last Seljuk Sultan. It is not a flag actually. It is a symbol or sign to continue the Turkish Empire after Seljuks. and when envoy delivered it, he read a message ---> We see the future of Islam and Turks at you Osman Ghazi. We are weak now, I don't think we can stand against mongols and rebels any longer, I give you this flag and I acknowledge you. You will be our continued existance. Empires never destroys, only transformate to another form...

Sultan wrote it himself and sent to Osman Ghazi. After it, Ottoman wasn't a principality any longer...

So use the same flag that is shown there. It is also written there, this flag was used with various colours.

Sorry mate but this flag is 'Final' for ottomans. This flag has everything to represent ottomans in the timefame of this mod.
