From the Tsardoms model collection these are the best fitting armours for Banderial Heavy Cavalry after 1500:

These should be together in a unit. They should get full iron gothic maces, swords with S-shaped crossguard, and some frontal horse armor.

Yes. After 1500, several types were used, gothic, maximilian and milanese too. Before that, almost only gothic type was used.

I think I have finished the historical Hungarian Cavalry presentations/suggestions for Tsardoms mod.
You can find the other presentations/suggestions about them here: https://www.twcenter.net/forums/show...otal-War/page2

    Hello Jurcek!
I made 16 pavese shield painting with baronial CoA and 3 handheld banners for Banderial Heavy Cavalry and Familiares Swordsmen.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fs9O_c9kKnPxnHpUFpIPOy1MfVsrsGlH/view?usp=sharing

I don't know what the correct settings are when saving a .DDS file, so I saved the handheld banners in .JPG format. I hope they can be used.
I wonder what they look like on the battlefield, could we will see screenshots of them?

Sorry, I upload again the shield textures with better resolution:

After my newest think the smaller pavise like Late Dismounted Bavarian Knights shields would be the best form for heavy cavalry.

Very well done szikelkun, looking forward to seeing them.

We would also need your help with something else.

Could you create a list of major Hungarian nobles that are important or known for the period of 1448 to 1530. If we have this list we can add these nobles as emerging characters for Hungary. The more the better.

What we would need for them is their name, age (it can be made up or estimated) and a short bio (a few words is enough).

Also, a list of important events in Hungary between 1448 and 1530 other than the main ones (like not wars between states, more like internal events). Things like nobles rebelling, civil wars, inventions, cultural events, reforms etc.

Question for you szikelkun. We have an event in early XV century which is called Cuman assimilation. Basically what that does is that from that date cuman troops can no longer be recruited because they have assimilated into the local population. I am just wondering if this correct for Hungary. Should we still allow cuman troops for a longer period for Hungary or is it ok as it is now?

The assimilation of the Cumans was largely completed around 1420. Based on the sources, their last participation in campaign was in 1428 at the siege of Galamboc.
In my opinion in the game the assimilation event and the the cuman unit unavailability should happen in the same time in 1429.

Nowadays I read János Botka's book about Hungarian Cumans, and I found new informations.
The title of the book: Kunok-Jászok katonáskodása és ünnepi bandériumai a betelepüléstől a kiegyezés koráig (in engl: Military services of Cumanians–Jazygians and their feast banderiums from the settlement to the age of compromise)

    - In 1453 three hundred cuman serve with bow, shield and armour (possibly light armour)

    - In 1491 three hundred cuman joined the campaign against Prince Albert.

    - In 1530 more hundred cuman soldier were in the army of King Janos at the siege of Buda. They used bow, sword and csákány (in engl: war hammer or pick-axe.)

After these datas, I think after the assimilation script you could allow recruiting cuman horsearcher units in very small numbers until 1530. In the 1448 campaign their model can get an armour upgrade with chainmail.

Ok yeah, that makes sense thank you. In that case the event we have is good. The assimilation event happens around that time.

These hussars are much more accurate. Nice work! Will their horse models get light armor/barding like in the pictures in post 331?
