ok another questionwhat should i do with that "options" directory thats in ibfd?
and why does it say flagellum dei in the pics in menu, maybe i downloaded the wrong modshouldnt it say ruina romae?
btw im really enjoying the mod
The options folder contains various options such as various scripts, for gameplay, various loading screens etc.ok another question what should i do with that "options" directory thats in ibfd?
You've got the right mod. It's just that Ramon hasn't modified the pics. This may change for the next version of IBFD.and why does it say flagellum dei in the pics in menu, maybe i downloaded the wrong mod shouldnt it say ruina romae?
Cheers
oh, ok, are there descriptions somewhere? because they are all exe files and no readme's so i dont know what im installingill just leave it like it is i guess
i activate the script with the show me how button right?
Check out this thread for info on the options:oh, ok, are there descriptions somewhere? because they are all exe files and no readme's so i dont know what im installing ill just leave it like it is i guess

That is correct. But a warning, some people have had problems with some of the scripts eg. "The Sack of Rome", but others have had no problems at all. Just be mindful of this. If you do get too many CTD's just install either the no scripts or 4tpy scripti activate the script with the show me how button right?
which script is on by default? because i havent installed the optional ones but there was a script when i went to campaign
EDIT: oh ok i see it says there which one is default
thanx for all the help

do i have to start the campaign again when i change scripts? the game freezes whenever i attack the huns right at the start of the campaign, near their town. i attack and the game just freezes it doesnt take me to battle screen. i tried with no script but it still froze
maybe i should mention that i installed those 7.03 enhancements from this thread
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=138654
and ibfd7strat.exe from the options folder

The simple answer is yes. If you are only using the no scripts or 4tpy scripts it shouldn't effect your campaign apart from the dates of course.
But if you have tried the full script, or sack rome scripts then removing or adding these to your campaign will affect them. Best stick to one script and play a campaign with that.
I would start with the full script and go from there.
cheers
ok ive started the campaign again with no script and its the same, two turns after the start of the game i come to campus venedae, and i try to attack it and the game just freezes..
i tried a custom battle, and after a while it also froze.. i really like the mod tho, too bad about these freezes
ok i figured out what caused the crash, it wasnt the script or anything, it was the soundmod i downloaded, the rio soundmod, it said on the last page that it will work with ibfd too but i guess it doesnt. or i installed it wrong, the installer by default installs into rio folder but i dont have that folder so when it installed i just copied it into ibfd data folder, and the sounds work but when i attack someone it freezes. without the soundmod its ok
Hey Mediteran, I think I have the solution to your problem. You can certainly install the soundmod onto the IBFD file except the export_descr_unit.txt file. Install all the files from the soundmod folder but not that one. That'll keep your version of the mod safe of CTDs. I've installed that soundmod on my versions of ibfd, Rio's mod and Julianus' mod and I don't have any problems with them. trust me, man.![]()
hey, i dont see that file anywhere, maybe i downloaded the wrong thing? when i install i get a rio folder, and the only files that have "export" in them are: export_descr_sounds_soldier_voice.txt, export_descr_sounds_stratmap_voice.txt and export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt
ok there are two soundmods on that filefront page, Ihatemondays_Soundmod_forI.exe, and SOUNDMOD-RELOADED_By_IHATAY.7z , i downloaded the first one, i saw it was newer. maybe i need the reloaded one?
EDIT: yeah the reloaded one has that file that you mentioned, i installed it without that file and again the same thing, when i try to attack a settlement it freezes. i have no idea why it dsnt work. the soundmod is awesome so id be really grateful if someone would solve this problem![]()

Hi Mediteran, Probably you deleted and replaced the original export_descr_unit.txt file when you installed to soundmod the first time. Could you tell me what version of ibfd are you playing. Perhaps I can give you the original file.
nah it isnt that, i reinstalled ibfd after deleting the soundmod, and installed it again, so the export file should be ok i think..
im playing 7.03 version
