A) You use Alexander.exe and you give the Immortal trait to that general.
B) You use a script to skip the winter season - characters age in winter, so that would make everybody live for ever I believe.
If there's another way though, I'd love to know it.
What's the Alexander.exe out of curiosity?
You could of course add custom traits to your general so that they liva as long as possible.
But I think the Alexander way is the best.

Well to actually make him immortal you need the alex trait.(in descr_strat)
But in the ordiary game there are traits that give your generals increased life spans, add them at the desc_strat(i don't know the exact names)
*NOTE* The second method does not make them immortal they will die eventually.

Unless Leonida is talking about increasing hit points which makes them more likely to survive battle, but doesn't extend their life expectancy in any other way that I know of.

It's just a repetition of some commands for x times, where x is the turn number of the campaign, it's not complicated.
You just put that in the background script multiple times, increasing the number by 1 each time...Code:console_command date 0 console_command season summer while I_TurnNumber = 0 end_while
The scripter of LotR:TW is Bardo, so all credit for that goes there.
do we put this in descr_strat?

Nope. This is supposed to be a part of the campaign-script, that runs on the background of the campaign. Now, scripts can be quite complicated things so you would perhaps be better off reading a good tutorial. There is the scripting tutorial subforum here but also some good ones over at the .Org, like these two, that contain a great deal of info, compiled by Epistolary Richard.

Is there any way to get that to attach to one general or would it apply to every general?
