It just occurred to me that you could use hinterland buildings to replace hidden resources in some cases. For instance, adding an agoge building to Sparta that allowed the training of Spartan hoplites would free up that hidden resource. The only downside is that the building would be permanent, so you couldn't invade and destroy it as an enemy.
What do you think? I think it would work perfectly for Athens (Acropolis building), Sparta (agoge), and Corinth (not sure what building Corinth was famous for), and probably a number of others.
So, any ideas what I could do with the freed-up resources?
