    Default Quick Question.

    I tried searching and looked back a couple of pages, so if any of my questions have been asked already sorry.

    If I buy Kingdoms, will the new features that come with it (I.E. Boilin Oil, permenant Forts, etc.) be available for me in the Grand Campaign?

    If not, is there any mods available that makes it so?

    What do you mean with permanent forts. If you just want the small wooden ones to not disappear when no-one is in them, you only need to change (or add) a line in a file (think it's descr_campaign_db.xml).
    If you want Kingdoms features for the grand campaign, you can also try the Retrofit mod. It's a lot smaller download size than Stainless Steel and doesn't alter gameplay in a big way.

    DLV also has all of the kingdom features in the grand campaign.

    Hi all, I have been reading this forum for a while, but I was too lazy to reg until today as I encountered a serious problem.

    I just got Kingdoms, and sometimes (very often) when I want to start a quick battle or a custom battle, or I play a battle in campain mode, the whole game collaps! (,,Medieval Ii has encountered a serious error so it exits, you are a lame...") I restart the whole game again and sometimes it works. Sometimes not.
    Or I play a battle, and it works, and suddenly the whole stuff colaps again.
    So now, I just save before and after every battle.

    I have never had this problem with the normal Medieval II.

    Plz help

    Probably not the best place to post this renegade. Should belong in the technical forum.
    You can try to see if an error log helps. To make an error log, you have to make changes to medieval2.preference.cfg (in your main Medieval 2 folder) so make a back-up of this file first.
    At the following to the top of the file (cut & paste):
    [log]
    to = logs/system.log.txt
    level = * error

    I typically leave a blank line between my newly added stuff and the other stuff. Save the file and make it read-only (otherwise the game will remove the code each time). After that, make a new folder in the same folder the .cfg file is in and name it logs. In this folder create a text file called system.log.txt and make this file read-only also.
    Now play the game as normal until it crashes and see if anything useful appears in it. It might help to make a new topic in the right forum and posting an error log in it.
