Love this Mod, always have. But question about the Marian Reforms (???)
Hello all,
I searched quite a few threads and they all state the same thing regarding triggering the reforms. Build an Imperial Palace in Roma. I have done that and still nothing.
I'm very concerned because last time I played RTR it was about 9 months ago and it was a bit easier.
This new version, I have been at war with Greece, Gaul and Carthage since the first turn (Carthage was a few turn in actually). Gaul isn't too much of a problem but Greece can get tricky and Carthage is pretty rough with all those Phalanx.
The thing that concerns me is the only thing helping me keep Carthage out of Italy is my VERY veteran Triarii units and Slingers. I have a few golds and many multi silvered units. Losing the ability to replenish their ranks and only have very green Cohorts will be an issue ... So I was thinking of stocking up on reserve Triarii ... but only if the reforms are going to take a while.
I have saved the game and went forward 10 turns and still no reforms.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

You need to build an imperial palce in Italy, but outside Rome.

You have vanilla RTRPE, right? Then you probably just need to build a certain building first. Don`t remember which, but look in the building tree and you`ll see the requirements. It`s a button in the detail section of each settlement. Where you can also see the trade and so on. And you`ll see the range of buildings and by placing your mouse over them it will say what they need to be available.
