    Default Wireless Adapter

Right i'm going to be moving soon to a place with wireless internet. When i built my PC, i did not put in a wireless adapter as i did not need one as we have wired internet where i currently am. Can anyone recommend any good wireless adapters for me, and any more info i need to know about them?

Avoid Belkin at all costs, get either a Netgear adapter or a linksys one. And try and discover the speed of the connection you will be using. Recievers are the limiting factor when a high end router is used. If the router is an N1 rounter and you use a G based reciever you will be limited to the 56Mb speed of that adapter when it could theoretically work at 300+Mb.
All this however only matters if your transfering within a network because you will struggle to saturate even a G based router on regular speed broadband connections.

If the router you'll be using is draft N or MIMO (the first is a specification, the second means it has multiple aerials), you should try to get an adapter that is made by the same company as the router - neither of those technologies have guaranteed interoperability; they'll probably work together, but you'll probably take a performance hit in making them do so.
