This modification makes the game historically more correct, and more interesting.

Installation of v2.0:
- Install Medieval II Total War
- Install Patch 1.1 and unpack all files
- Install Patch 1.2
(- You can also install Kingdoms expansion or Patch 1.3, it works well!)
- Extract 'Ascendancy of Medieval v2.0.rar' to root directory of Medieval II Total War
Notes:
- This will install a new folder called 'ascendancy_mod'
- This will overwrite some files in your data folder, especially textures
- You can start the game with 'Ascendancy_Of_Medieval.bat'
- Norman Prologue won't work (well)!
- There is an icon file, called ascendancy.ico in the root folder. Use it!
- Enjoy!
Features of v2.0:
- New map with maximum number of provinces which is historically more correct than the original (vanilla) map
- Real region and city names, eg Arabic names to Eastern cities or Greek names to Byzantine cities
- 9 new factions, some from Regions and Provinces Mod v2.4 (special thanks to sb2ean)
- New and real names to new factions, and to Hungary and the Papacy
- Royal titles with original names (Latin titles for Catholics, Greek and Russian for Orthodox', Arabic for Muslims and Turkic for Nomads)
- Stronger rebels especially on the Eastern European Steppe, in Lithuania, and in the German Duchies
- More realistic names to the members of ruling dynasties and rebel rulers
- Advanced Paganism with Pagan factions: Lithuanians, Cumans, Mongols and Aztecs
- Improved diplomacy
- New rebel factions (65 factions plus pirates and brigands)
- New date when gunpowder is invented: 1320
- New passing places on the seas like Sardinia-Corsica, Normandy-England, Steppes-Crimea etc. and on rivers
- Stronger factions: Turks, Hungary, Denmark, Sicily etc.
- New hidden resources
- New units but some of original and unreal units disappeared
- Correct names and abilities to units (especially Hungary)
- Crossbowmen appear later in Hungary and Russia
- Cuman raiders (rebels) in Transylvania
- Western Hungary (Őrvidék) is a rebel kingdom under the Hungarian ex-king Salamon
- New buildings: Highway (special thanks to selenius4tsd), Pagan temples and religious places

Note: There are some bugs which I want to correct as fast as possible. The 1st one and biggest is the height of hills and mountains. The 2nd one is the bank of the Hungarian lakes which are glinting.
