    Ascendancy Of Medieval Mod v2.0 by ST. Toma


    This modification makes the game historically more correct, and more interesting.

    It only works with Ascendancy of Medieval v2.1 Patch, so download it!

    Installation of v2.0:
    - Install Medieval II Total War
    - Install Patch 1.1 and unpack all files
    - Install Patch 1.2
    (- You can also install Kingdoms expansion or Patch 1.3, it works well!)
    - Extract 'Ascendancy of Medieval v2.0.rar' to root directory of Medieval II Total War

    Notes:
    - This will install a new folder called 'ascendancy_mod'
    - This will overwrite some files in your data folder, especially textures
    - You can start the game with 'Ascendancy_Of_Medieval.bat'
    - Norman Prologue won't work (well)!
    - There is an icon file, called ascendancy.ico in the root folder. Use it!
    - Enjoy!

    Features of v2.0:
    - New map with maximum number of provinces which is historically more correct than the original (vanilla) map
    - Real region and city names, eg Arabic names to Eastern cities or Greek names to Byzantine cities
    - 9 new factions, some from Regions and Provinces Mod v2.4 (special thanks to sb2ean)
    - New and real names to new factions, and to Hungary and the Papacy
    - Royal titles with original names (Latin titles for Catholics, Greek and Russian for Orthodox', Arabic for Muslims and Turkic for Nomads)
    - Stronger rebels especially on the Eastern European Steppe, in Lithuania, and in the German Duchies
    - More realistic names to the members of ruling dynasties and rebel rulers
    - Advanced Paganism with Pagan factions: Lithuanians, Cumans, Mongols and Aztecs
    - Improved diplomacy
    - New rebel factions (65 factions plus pirates and brigands)
    - New date when gunpowder is invented: 1320
    - New passing places on the seas like Sardinia-Corsica, Normandy-England, Steppes-Crimea etc. and on rivers
    - Stronger factions: Turks, Hungary, Denmark, Sicily etc.
    - New hidden resources
    - New units but some of original and unreal units disappeared
    - Correct names and abilities to units (especially Hungary)
    - Crossbowmen appear later in Hungary and Russia
    - Cuman raiders (rebels) in Transylvania
    - Western Hungary (Őrvidék) is a rebel kingdom under the Hungarian ex-king Salamon
    - New buildings: Highway (special thanks to selenius4tsd), Pagan temples and religious places
    - Lots of new textures (see: 'Thanks to:')
    - Three new historical battles: Bouvines and Kulikovo (special thanks to Eric) and Formigny (special thanks to Roma Victor)
    - Darth Formations M2TW Version 3.5 War Pack (special thanks to Darth Vader)
    - Ultimate AI v1.1 beta (special thanks to GrandViz)
    - Beutiful minimod for MTWII by Riczu74 (special thanks to Riczu74)
    - Lots of map corrections like woodlands in Eastern Europe, two lakes in Hungary (Lake Balaton and Lake Fertő), more resources etc.

    I hope we'll get a more detailed description, but so far this sounds to me like a great mod... Bigger map + Better names + UAI! Is Blood Broads & Bastards in there?

    Downloading. But is this not for Kingdoms? Boiling oil and all that?

    Guys, I have to say this mod seems tremendous. But unfortunately it has also gone down the road of being scripted so much that the time between campaign turns is too excessive (for me at least). Is there any way u can release a "lite" version (less scripts). I'd really love to play this. Also, as cumans I cannot recruit military units (except ballista).

    general_varro: yes, it's a bit slow, coz of the lots of regions, factions, and scripts, and i don't have enough time to create a lite version. What is about the Cumans? What do u mean under "cannot recruit miltary units"?

    Icefrisco: yes, i want to do aor system, but unfortunately i don't have enough time, coz of leaving exams, and leaving celebartions (there are very much to do for a school.leaver in Hungary )

    billydilly: no, it isn't but works with Kingdoms

    firekiller: next week

    Matz: pls read the readme file. I think it's compeletely detailed.

    I add your rep because of your work (especially for historic contents) but I'm not sure to download it because this mod seems to be a region mod bis, with not really news factions.

    Anyway, It's a good effort and I encourage you to continue in this way.

    I'm waiting for some screens too ...

    Hi!

    Unfortunately, i have no time to do anything with the mod, yet.

    Later i'll send some images, but i have a problem with battles. When I start a battle, it downloads but at the end of downloading, you can see on the screen your troops and the sky, but the gorund is white and immediately it send CTD.

    I used to have the same problem with Rome: TW, bu ti dunno how i did solved it :hmmm:

    Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
