I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you asking how to uninstall mods so they are completely removed or do you need a mod switcher?

If you're having issues with multiple mods then you should make copies of MTW2 so that you can install the various mods on these different versions. this'll take up a great deal of room though so I suggest sticking to one version number with mods that contain their own module and exe.

I think he's saying that every time he wants to uninstall a mod, he reinstalls M2TW. You don't have to do that man. The major mods now, at least the ones I know, have a uninstall.exe. Besides, the mods don't even touch the main data folder and if they do, just be sure you have a backup of the main data folder so you can put back the original files if they were overwritten. In most cases, the mod will just add files to the main data folder instead of overwriting so you'll just have delete them. Now, that's just if the mod doesn't have a uninstall.exe.

I think Trajan is right, but I'd like to add some instructions:

If you have mods that install in your "data" folder, it is a good idea to backup the original files in this folder (as Trajan said). The files you ABSOLUTELY NEED to run the game are:

    animations
    cursors
    fmv
    sounds
    world

If you keep these original, you can (if needed) clear out your entire data folder, throw the above folders back in, and have a fully functional game. This includes the patch to v1.2 or v1.3.

I reinstalled my game several times a while back, just cause I didn't know how else to undo many of the changes. Luckily I'm now a wiser man .

    Happy gaming,
