Nope its unnatural and meats taste delicious.
These fine gentlemen's have thanks to their consistent idiotic posts have earned their place on my ignore list: mrmouth, The Illusionist, motiv-8, mongrel, azoth, thorn777 and elfdude. If you want to join their honourable rank you just have to post idiotic posts and you will get there in no time.
Youre right it is unnatural. First youre body NEEDS proteins that come only from meat, so your health will decline no matter what you think. Also if everybody in the world became a vegetarian, the world would starve because meant fills youre stomach, it would take an infinite amount of veggies to keep you full, NO human should have to be hungry, also you would be sick a lot more. Bottom line, you should stick with meat.
Also I think it is GREAT no one has voted they are a vegan. HAHAHA!!!
Just proves my point!

For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

Trust me I felt like it when I knew I had to give up bacon butties
I know my decision is almost half hearted but I cannot accept the manner in which they are slaughtered. I know some animals are treated badly when they are being groomed for the axe but in the end all the animals are killed on a conveyer belt.Ummagumma - As you are still eating dairy, I assume your motivation is not based on animal welfare. Why do you not want to consume the beautiful, nutritious flesh of other creatures?

So it is some animal rights thing then?
You do realise you should also quit dairy, otherwise it is a pointless statement.. Yes, dairy cows are not killed, but for every dairy cow that is here, a young bull is slaughtered - they don't produce milk and are too costly to keep alive. Consuming dairy products by default allows you to eat beef, otherwise thay would all be killed for absolutely not purpose at all.
Hmm, steak...

I used to be a veggie for 15 years. Tried meat last year and loved it, haven't stopped since. It is the right way to go to be a meat-eater then a veggie instead of the other way around - one is a moral choice, one is forced on you by your parents, in my case anyway.

My favourite food is meat!

why? please do not make such a poor choice.
YOU NEED MEAT
we are Omnivore's! we get many important minerials from meat. many veggies if you look at them are very pale because they lack the minerials needed and many of them have to take vitamins tablets. its not healthy, ask any doctor its better to eat a little meat then no meat.
if your worried about your health or your body shape you would be far better off exerciseing or having a proper diet which includes a little meat.
sod them, your health is more important then them. you an buy for example free range, there is if you look hard enough "ethical meat" where the animals are treated alot better, not all meat is battery.

Although free range animals do live a much better life than their battery counterparts they are all processed in the same way when it comes to their due time. Chickens are all electrocuted then get their throats sliced. Cows and sheep are all still bolted through the head. I'm more annoyed at the fact it has taken 33 years to actually realise how they die. I cannot be a part of that i'm afraid.
There are vitamin supplements and so-forth to help with my diet. Like I said I will not force my opinions on anyone including my family but my conscience cannot allow me to eat flesh.
Thanks for your concerns mate![]()

and? you said it yourself, its not the fact they are killed, its how it done that bothers you. getting a steal bolt threw the head is instant, they dont suffer. its quick and clean.
here is a crazy idea. grow your own chickens. all you need is a back garden. then you could insure that your eggs and your meat is all treated well and you can kill them quickly.

I couldn't ; my children and I would grow too attached to them .
I do object to the way battery fowl live and how all animals are killed. I know humans are omnivores but I really couldn't bring myself into eating animals again but I certainly don't object to others doing so.
Next time you eat a bacon buttie think of meI will miss the taste but I don't have the heart to eat dead animals again

I'm sorry, but your only answer is to become a vegan. Like I say, there is, as yet, no genetic manipulation to ensure female births. For every dairy cow born, there is also a bull calf. The Bull calf will not produce any milk (profit), so there is only one thing to do to it..
As dairy farming necessitates the killing of the male calves, you may as well eat them too. Or get used to soya milk (and then think of the really bad environmental practises that occur with soya farming). You're between a rock and a hard place, so may as well eat something tasty while you are there.
"If we weren't supposed to eat animals, why are they so tastey?"
- Stephen Colbert.
I'm thinking of going the other way, giving up everything that has no meat included. I got to make up for all the vegetarians, and do you see how poorly those plants are treated? They aren't even killed humanely...
