Version of Alexander

I would really like to use Alex to play the next version of XGM, but before I buy I want to know which version is best. There is the Sega Store download and the Steam download, and I'm curious which one you all use and if you've had any trouble with it (I've heard Steam can occasionally have issues with mods).

The Sega download expires after a few installs. I regularly mod my games and at times reinstall Windows, and I was extremely disenchanted when it told me I could no longer install a game that I PAID for.

In the end, I found a way around it, but I don't recommend the Sega store.

I'm in the same boat. I reinstalled Alexander to try it with XGM but no dice. Care to share your work-around?

lankylars: Alexander is now £5.99 in the UK on White Label as are BI and RTW.
(unpatched 1.3 and 1.2 respectively).
Buying a physical disc is the best way.

I was unaware you could purchase a hard copy of Alexander. £5.99 though will work out to be $15USD or so, perhaps more depending on shipping. I'm still interested in knowing what the Steam download is like, since unlike Cymera with Sega, I've never had trouble reinstalling Steam games multiple times or having the same game installed on two computers.

Sega made a very un-calculated and in my opinion stupid move in trying to protect their download game from multiple installs on several systems. I cannot speak about Steam's system, but I've never had this problem with the Battlefield series, most of which I have from the EA Downloader....
